Staying at the Weisses Kruz Hotel

7 Days
Day 1
Following an early start we travel to Dover where we board the ferry for the short sea crossing to Calais. On arrival we rejoin our coach and travel to Metz, here we spend the night at the Hotel Mercure Metz Centre.
Day 2
This morning we continue our journey through France as we head towards the Swiss border at Basel. From here we travel via Zurich and St Gallen, soon we have a view of Lake Constance. We cross the border into Austria and then it is a short drive to Feldkirch, here we spend four nights at the Weisses Kreuz Hotel. The focus here is the hospitality as the teams ensures guests a warm welcome and a very pleasant stay. On arrival we have a welcome cocktail.
Day 3
After breakfast we board our coach and travel the short distance into the centre of Feldkirch. Here we have a guided walking tour of this historic town with its beautiful medieval centre. Arcaded Square, gateways and the remnants of town walls give it a special atmosphere. We also see the Gothic Cathedral and the Schattenburg Castle which occupies a prominent position over the town. Later we board our coach and travel to the popular lakeside town of Bregenz, situated on the shores of Lake Constance, the capital of the Arlberg region. Its splendid landscaped promenade and a bustling modern centre complimented by the ancient upper town all combine to make it clear that this is somewhere unique. We return to the hotel for a glass of Gluhwein, the special winter drink of the Alps.
Day 4
Today we travel into the mountains of the Arlberg region. Firstly we visit the popular winter sports resort of St Anton, later we continue to the pretty mountain resort of Lech.
Day 5
Possibly the highlight of this tour, we travel by coach to Chur. Here we board the Arosa Express Mountain Railway for our journey through the deep ravines, high mountains and across a high viaduct to the Swiss village of Arosa which offers great views of the surrounding snow covered peaks. We have time a leisure here before returning to Chur by train and then we travel back to Feldkirch in time for evening dinner.
Day 6
Today we leave this lovely region of Austria and commence the homeward journey through Switzerland, into France and onto Reims where we spend our last night at the Quality Enzo Hotel.
Day 7
The last day of our winter holiday we leave Reims and travel to Calais. Here we board the ferry for the return crossing to Dover. On arrival we rejoin our coach for the journey towards home, arriving by early evening.
