CHRISTMAS IN NEWQUAY

Staying at the Bay Hotel, Newquay

Friday 23rd –  Tuesday 27th December 2011

5 Days

Day 1

Following a morning departure we travel through the West Country into Devon and onto the popular Cornish resort of Newquay for our four night  break at The Bay Hotel. The Bay Hotel overlooks the world famous Fistral beach with stunning coastal views. On arrival we will have a sherry and mince pie reception and later in the evening to start off our Christmas holiday a brass band will play carols for our enjoyment before the evening entertainment.

Day 2 - Christmas Eve

This morning we board our coach and travel the short distance into Newquay here we have time for some last minute Christmas shopping ,a visit to the sea life centre or a stroll on one of the excellent beaches to work up an appetite for a buffet lunch at the hotel. This afternoon there will be a tea dance in the ballroom and in addition tea and biscuits will be available. We will have a choice of menu for our three course dinner this evening and this will be followed by live entertainment in the ballroom. To round off the festivities mince pies will be served .

Day 3 - Christmas Day

This morning we will have a visit from Santa and we will be able to take part in a competition to Guess the Weight  of the Christmas cake. Champagne cocktails will be served before our traditional Christmas lunch which will have all the trimmings. For those passengers who wish to do so there will be an opportunity to see the Queens speech this afternoon. We will also have a quiz this afternoon before enjoying a buffet dinner and evening entertainment to complete our Christmas celebrations.

Day 4 - Boxing Day

This morning we have an excursion to the popular Cornish resort of Padstow. We return to the hotel in time for a Table de Hotel lunch. This afternoon we can take part in a bingo session . Tea and biscuits will be served during the afternoon. Dinner this evening will be a carvery buffet and , once again, this will be followed by live entertainment.

Day 5

This morning we take our leave of Newquay and begin our homeward journey . We will make a stop at Jamaica Inn at Bodmin Moor  and  later we make a stop at Cadbury Garden Centre for a lunch break. We then continue towards the Forest of Dean arriving in the early evening.
