Staying at the Olde Barn Hotel, Grantham

Day 1

This morning we join our coach for our journey to Grantham. We travel through the East Midlands making a lunch stop at Melton Mowbray. After lunch we travel the short distance to Grantham for our Three night stay at the award winning Olde Barn Hotel.

 

Day 2

This morning we visit the historic city of Lincoln. Lincoln has one of Europes most beautiful cathedrals and the Norman castle holds a copy of the Magna Carta. The town plays host to Englands largest collection of antique and Bric-a-brac shops and was home to the Dam Busters squadron. We have plenty of time to enjoy this vibrant city before returning to our hotel in the afternoon.

 

Day 3

After breakfast this morning we travel through the lovely Lincolnshire countryside to the charming old woollen town of Stamford. We have some time in Stamford and later we continue our journey via Spalding to Boston. A focal point of the town is the lantern tower of the parish church , also known as the Boston Stump. We return to our hotel with time to relax or make use of the leisure facilities before dinner.

 

Day 4

This morning we say goodbye to our hosts at the Olde Barn and board our coach for our homeward journey. We make a stop en-route at the lovely town of Stratford on Avon, before continuing our journey arriving by late afternoon.
