LLANDUDNO TURKEY AND TINSEL

Staying at the Kensington Hotel, Llandudno

Monday 21st – Friday 25th November 2011

5 Days

 

Day 1

Following a morning departure we travel through mid Wales to Llangollen where we make a lunch stop. Afterwards we continue to North Wales via the scenic Horseshoe Pass and on to the coastal resort of Llandudno. We have our four night stay here at the popular Kensington Hotel located on the seafront promenade.

Day 2 “Christmas Eve”

Today we have an excursion to the Isle of Anglesey calling at Llanfair PG and on to Beaumaris with its moated castle .We make an afternoon stop in Caernarfon to enjoy its castles, shops and harbour. We return in good time for dinner and this evenings entertainment.

 

Day 3 “Christmas Day”

Today we have time to enjoy Llandudno today with its unique combination of Victorian style and Edwardian elegance. As well as having two great beaches and a fine promenade Llandudno is sheltered by the towering headland of the Great Orme Countryside Park. In addition to being North Wales premier holiday destination Llandudno is a main retail centre. Famous high street stores are all here under the pretty Victorian canopies in Mostyn Street, great for Christmas shopping. This evening we enjoy a  traditional Christmas dinner and festive entertainment.

 

Day 4 “Boxing Day”

This morning we travel through the wonderful scenery of the Snowdonia National Park to Llanberis which is situated at the foot of Snowdonia and flanked by lakes Padarn and Peris. Llanberis is home to the Welsh Slate Museum, Snowdon Mountain Railway and the Llanberis Lake Railway. We continue our excursion through the lovely Llanberis pass to Betws-y-Coed and Swallow Falls. It is at Betws-y-Coed where the River Conway meets the Llugwy, Lledr and the Machno and is home to the Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre. We return to Llandudno for our Boxing Day Dinner and evening entertainment.

 

Day 5

Today we leave Llandudno and travel to the historic city of Chester where we have a few hours at leisure before continuing our journey. We arrive home late afternoon.
