Day 1
Following a morning departure we travel through the West Country into Devon and on to the popular resort of Babbacombe. We spend the next three nights in the milder climate of South Devon for our Twixmas break. The popular Anchorage Hotel is family owned and has an enviable reputation for comfort and service.
Day 2
After breakfast we take the coast road and make our way to Teignmouth for a morning visit . Teignmouth has a long flat promenade ,just right for that bracing walk to blow away the Christmas cobwebs before exploring the town. Later we travel to Bovey Tracey to the popular shopping complex of Trago Millls and then return to our hotel for afternoon tea and biscuits and relaxing time at leisure before an early dinner and a visit to the pantomime at the nearby Babbacombe Theatre
Day 3
Today we begin our excursion programme with a visit to The Dartington Cider Press Centre which is an attractive retail complex featuring craft, Dartington glass, gifts, kitchenware and farm foods. After leaving Dartington we make our way back towards Torbay for a tour of this lovely area. We return to our hotel in plenty of time for dinner and this evenings entertainment.
Day 4
We leave Babbacombe this morning for our return journey. We make a stop at The Cadbury Garden Centre
at Congesbury around lunchtime and then continue towards home arriving Late afternoon.
