Staying at Thoresby Hall Hotel and Spa, Nottingham
Monday 12th -
5 Days
Day 1
We board our coach this morning and make our way northwards through the Midlands and on to Nottingham and the Thoresby Hall Hotel where we spend the next four nights. The elegant house, grand gardens and parklands are situated on the edge of Sherwood Forest and provide a wonderful setting for our Turkey and Tinsel holiday.
Day 2 -
The beautiful surroundings can only enhance our early “Christmas” experience with traditional Christmas dinner and festivities plus sparkling evening entertainment of the usual high Warners standard. Also included in this break are several excursions and some free time to enjoy the leisure facilities and spa. We have trips to Meadowhall, a huge indoor mall, home to 270 of your favourite stores and restaurants, a visit to Newark, the picturesque market town on the River Trent and to Lincoln, where Lincoln cathedral, one of the finest medieval buildings in Europe towers above the city and has recently been known for it’s appearance in “The Da Vinci Code”.
Also visit the castle once the home of William the Conqueror and which now houses one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta. For more leisurely pursuits stroll around the waterfront or take a boat trip for an alternative view of the city.
Day 5
We leave Nottingham this morning and make our return journey arriving in the afternoon.
